Greek Gods and the People
The Greeks could call on their gods – praying to or worshiping them – to ensure a good crop, a victory in war, help in a crisis or any other worthwhile purpose. However, the gods were a vain and quarrelsome family, who would bring bad fortune to those who failed to show proper respect.
The gods are normally invisible. Normally, if a given God wants to be seen by you, He or She would make themselves appear to you. So, in that case you could just see the one God. Often, they let themselves be seen by taking disguises.
As far as the details of the interacting go, it seems almost as if They were human, except a more powerful form in detail. That is, They talk with the mortals, They touch them, like a hand on the shoulder for comfort. They can attack with weapons and kill the mortal, especially during war.
